The Waterfall of Grace: Favour of God to fall
The Waterfall of Grace: Favour of God to fall
Recently, I had a vision a waterfall that had completely dried up. As I stared at it, a question rose in my spirit: If a waterfall is dry, is it truly still a waterfall, or is it merely a bare cliff face with a solitary pool of water trapped at the bottom?
In this vision, I noticed a little pool of water at the top. It was straining and trying in its own strength to force itself over the edge, crying out, “I want to be a waterfall! I want to be a waterfall!”
Then, the Lord opened my eyes to show me the gifts He has given to all the faithful. I saw each believer holding an ornate jug, completely filled to the brim with precious water sent directly from the heavens.
One by one, the faithful gathered on the mountain and at various points along the dry riverbeds and empty streams. Together, they began to pour out their unique gifts into the well-worn, pre-formed stream beds.
As they poured, the water from these individual jugs began to run together. They grew and multiplied into a mighty torrent—a current so incredibly strong that it could no longer be contained or stopped. It flowed thunderously and majestically over the cliff face.
The little pool at the top of the cliff, which had been striving so hard on its own, was now completely swept up and joined into this mighty, roaring flow. It was no longer recognisable as a solitary, struggling pool.
From Wilderness to Momentum
The Lord spoke to my heart about individuals within the Body of Christ who are trying desperately to move forward with God, but are functioning entirely alone in the wilderness. He reminded me that He has intentionally gifted each and every one of us with a specific purpose, a designated place, and a unique gifting that is meant to be shared generously with one another.
When the individual giftings of people and diverse people groups combine and unite for the absolute glory of God—under the exact same purpose and mission—supernatural momentum happens. Flow happens. Divine grace, mercy, and favour are radically released!
The stream of Hope is alive, and it is gaining rapid momentum. It will become a thunderous waterfall of grace, mercy, and favour for all, entirely for the glory of God.
The season of isolation is breaking. It is time for the Johns to come out of the wilderness, and it is time for the Esthers to take their rightful seat at the banquet table!
