The Mission Field
is in Our Backyard
We live in a new era. The mission field no longer lies primarily in another country. It is found among our family, friends, colleagues, and neighbours.
Our Church possesses wonderful resources for taking up this mission, but our richest ‘resource’ is the Holy Spirit, who equips us to be ‘Spirit-filled evangelisers’ (Evangelii Gaudium, 259).
A Vision from the Australian Bishops
In 2025, the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference released Gifted for the Mission.
This landmark document issues a clear call: Every baptised Catholic must discover and activate the charisms they received from the Holy Spirit. Every Christian has an evangelising mission in the Church.

The Rekindle Project is a direct response to the Australian Bishops’ call. Our mission is to reignite the flame of Christ’s love in the hearts of Catholics through the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. We provide the practical pathway to move past the dryness of routine and into a living, active faith.
An Introduction to Charism
The Three Pillars
The Rekindle Project is built on three unshakeable pillars. They form a deliberate pathway of renewal: moving from an open heart, through a posture of deep humility, into an active lifestyle of sharing God's supernatural love.
Childlike Faith, Awe, and Wonder
Our God is so so good and he can move mountains! By approaching God with the expectant trust of a child, we open the door for the Holy Spirit to move in signs, wonders, and miracles today.

All Glory to God
This pillar is our absolute safety guardrail. When regular parishioners are activated in spiritual gifts like healing, prophecy, or intercession, we stay rooted in radical humility. We are simply the conduits—Jesus Christ is the living water, and He receives 100% of the praise.

The Culture of Testimony
We are here to shatter the "culture of silence" in our parishes. When ordinary parishioners openly and joyfully share raw, honest stories of how Jesus is moving in their daily lives, it releases an atmosphere of hope that inspires the next person to seek their own encounter.

Rekindle prayer group: The follow on small group creates a safe harbour to share experiences and grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Launch a prayer ministry team: We give parishes the exact, hands-on tools they need to train a tight-knit core team to pray for others safely, effectively, and in complete alignment under the authority of their Parish Priest.

The goal is to completely shift the culture of a parish away from silent, quiet discomfort and into a vibrant culture of sharing raw testimonies. By witnessing to the personal encounter and love of Jesus, we build an environment of deep faith and holy expectation.

The absolute heartbeat of this ministry is our Harness the Power of Prayer program. This isn't a complex, dry theological lecture series. It is a highly practical training program that lays the foundations and actually activates regular parishioners to start using supernatural spiritual gifts (charisms) like intercession, prophecy, and healing in daily life and ministry. I want people to read about this program and realise, "Wow, I could actually do that too!"
Spiritual Gifts: The Holy Spirit Working Through You
Charisms are not simply human talents or skills. They are direct manifestations of the Holy Spirit working in and through a person.
Given to individuals, but never for the individual. They are given to assist others to encounter Jesus Christ and to transform society.
When we exercise a charism, we experience an unusual sense of ‘flow’ and joy, because the Spirit is working through us.
How the Program Works: A Practical Pathway of Faith
The Harness the Power of Prayer program offers a deeply engaging, step-by-step journey rooted in the renowned insights of The Spiritual Gifts Handbook by Catholic scholar Dr. Mary Healy and Randy Clark—a book officially promoted by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference in Gifted for the Mission. Designed to be highly interactive, this 6-session program blends essential wisdom with real-life application. To prepare your heart for the adventure, participants read the first three chapters of the handbook before Session 1, followed by one chapter prior to each subsequent session.
Inside the room, our focus is on activating faith. Each session explores the text through captivating video presentations, dynamic group activities, and intentional prayer activations. This unique combination gives everyday parishioners the safe space and hands-on tools they need to practice stepping out in the supernatural charisms, moving past the dryness of routine, and experiencing the joyful "flow" of the Holy Spirit in action.

Delivery Options for Your Parish
To accommodate the unique needs and schedules of different parish communities, the Harness the Power of Prayer program can be delivered in two flexible formats:
The Fortnightly Series (Our Preferred Model)
Journey through the 6 sessions step-by-step, meeting once every two weeks. To prepare their hearts, participants read the first three chapters of the handbook before Session 1, followed by one chapter prior to each subsequent session. On the alternate weeks, groups are highly encouraged to meet informally to fellowship, discuss the material, and practice praying together.
The Intensive Weekend
Experience the entire 6-session program over one powerful, immersive weekend. Because of the fast-paced nature of the weekend, participants are required to read The Spiritual Gifts Handbook in its entirety before the program begins so they can fully dive into the live activities and activations.
To foster true community and allow for powerful, face-to-face prayer activations, we strongly encourage participants to gather together in person at the parish. However, to make running the program as simple as possible, the facilitator has the flexibility to be zoomed in remotely to guide the group through the sessions.
